Amazon appears to be testing changes in how it handles orders that include multiple purchases from different MF sellers. These changes are creating unexpected results in our system, such as duplicate orders and mismatched order dates. Since Amazon hasn’t provided clear guidelines or communication about these changes, the current patterns are inconsistent.
This article will help you understand what’s happening, how to handle duplicate orders in our system, and what steps you can take to avoid these issues in the future.
When you place an order with multiple MF sellers, Amazon may now:
Create separate versions of the same order for each seller.
Append letters like ‘A,’ ‘B,’ or ‘C’ to the order number for each seller.
Modify the order date to match the shipment date of each seller, potentially creating new orders in our system for the same purchase.
These changes are causing duplicate entries for the same order in our system, which can lead to confusion and additional management steps.
Until Amazon finalizes their changes and we can update our system:
Identify Duplicate Orders: Look for orders with the same core number but different suffixes (e.g., A, B, C).
Verify the Items Received: Confirm which orders actually received items.
Cancel Duplicates: Cancel any duplicate orders that did not result in items being delivered.
Contact Support: If you're unsure about the process or need assistance, reach out to our support team.
To prevent this problem moving forward, consider checking out separately for each seller. By purchasing from one seller at a time, Amazon won’t split your order into multiple versions, preventing the possibility of duplicates in our system.

Understanding Merchant Fulfilled vs. Fulfilled by Amazon Orders
Why are there multiple versions of the same order in my account?
Amazon seems to be splitting orders by seller and modifying order numbers and dates.
What should I do if I see duplicate orders?
Cancel duplicates in the EasyBookPrep systems that didn’t result in items being received. Contact support if your not sure what to do.
Will this issue continue?
Until Amazon finalizes their system updates, duplicates may persist. We are monitoring the situation and will update our system accordingly. Our New System will handle these types of issues better.
How can I avoid this problem in the future?
Check out separately for each seller when purchasing MF items on Amazon.
