If you’re using an Amazon Personal Account, you may notice that the purchase data you receive is limited compared to what was available before Amazon Restricted Personal Accounts data or compared to an Amazon Business Account. These limitations can affect how you manage your and your Prep Centers ability to manage orders, track your inventory, and deal with discrepancies or refunds.
Below, we explain the specific data limitations you might face and how they impact your business.
Limited Purchase Condition Details:
With a personal account, Amazon only provides (basic) "condition" categories for purchased items, which are New, Used, Collectible, and Refurbished.
However, we recommend having what Amazon Considers as "sub-condition" details, which are Like New, Very Good, Good, Acceptable. These "sub-condition" details are no longer Provided for personal accounts by Amazon. This makes it impossible for the Prep Center to know the specific "Sub-Condition" that was ordered, as all Used items are imported with the "Condition" of Used" as provided by Amazon, and will be treated as a Good Ordered Item.
No Seller Information:
Unlike business accounts, Amazon no longer provides personal accounts information about the seller of the items. Without knowing who the seller is, it’s harder to mitigate returns, disputes, or track which sellers provide reliable products. This does not affect the ability to process returns or disputes directly from the Order on Amazon.
No Access to Detailed Order History:
Personal account users are now limited to the My Order Page at Amazon for Order Information, so may take longer to see full details or even finding past orders.
No Access to more detailed Purchase Analytics/Information compared to Business accounts:
Personal accounts do not come with access to analytics tools, which can help you monitor buying trends, assess seller performance, and optimize your purchasing decisions. Without these tools, it’s difficult to track patterns in your purchasing data.
Missing Item Classification and Product Group Information
Not having this information removes our ability to properly filter out personal Items & other purchases that we should probably not import nor create listings for. So the only way to make sure that they are not imported is by providing Extended Order Data.
Extended Order Data, not included with Order Data
In order to Provide Extended Order Data, which includes: Order Purpose, Initial Sales Price, Notes, and other information a secondary step is required, and is many times skipped, reducing our ability to best serve you.
Cancelled Orders are not Included in the Order Data after they are cancelled.
We are not able to automatically cancel any of your imported your orders, if they are cancelled at a later date, as Amazon Removes all Cancelled Orders from the reports.
Incomplete "Ship to" Address
Amazon only provides the Zipcode, which may limit our ability to verify Delivery Locations.
And more...
At EasyBookPrep, we rely on the provided purchase data to process your orders efficiently. If you're using a personal account, please be aware that even if we facilitate the collection of the Data from Amazon, Amazon Controls what Data we can access. So key information (like sub-condition details or seller data) may not be available, which can limit the accuracy of our services.
We recommend upgrading to a business account for full data access, including detailed condition descriptions, seller details, and order analytics. This helps us provide you with faster, more accurate services, especially when dealing with issues like refunds or tracking your purchases.
Order Submission is a two Step Process:
Request your Order Data From Amazon
Typically takes 3 - 73 hours, but Amazon says it could take up to a Month...!
